This lectureexamines the current state of the US economy and its effects on consumerpurchases from food to apparel. In particular, the ripple effects of inflationand tariffs have impacted consumer spending patterns as they have started totrade down. The beneficiaries of such behavior are off-price and discountretailers offering consumers better value for their fashion purchases.
