主讲人简介：Frank Harris received his Ph.D. in organic chemistry from the University of Iowa. He joined The University of Akron in 1983 as a Professor of Polymer Science and Polymer Engineering and was promoted to Distinguished Professor in 1994. He served as Director of the Maurice Morton Institute of Polymer Science at the University and was an American Editor of the international journal POLYMER. In 2007, Dr. Harris retired from the University, to devote his full attention to running Akron Polymer Systems, a company he co-founded, as President and CEO.Prior to starting Akron Polymer Systems, Dr. Harris founded Daychem Laboratories in Dayton, Ohio, Ballard Advanced Materials in Vancouver, Canada, and Boca Advanced Materials in Cincinnati, Ohio. He is a member of the Board of Directors of the Brady Corporation in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. Dr. Harris is internationally known for his work in condensation polymerization and has been active in this field for over 35 years. He has carried out extensive research on polyimides and other high performance aromatic polymers including polyphenylquinoxalines, polypyridinium salts, polybenzimidazoles, etc. Dr. Harris has authored more than 55 patents and 230 refereed publications.
